Welkait should be returned back to the Amharas!
Welkait, Tsegede, Humera and basically the whole of northern Gondar has been under the TPLF’s brutal repression for the last 39 years. The Welkait people are blessed with a vast and fertile land. This fertile land produces the largest export of cotton and oilseed for the nation. 39 years ago TPLF’s agenda was to kill as well as exterminate Welkite Amharas and in the long run take over their fertile land. TPLF tortured and killed around 30 thousand people in a prison camp called Bado Sidest. Bado Sidest is an underground prison and it was the main place where TPLF ran a miserable camp to exterminate Welkait Amharas in the most grueling and unspeakable ways. When TPLF assumed power in 1991, it illegally incorporated North Gondar and places like Welkait, Humera and others under the Tigray region. The Welkait community has been crying for justice for the last 39 years.

The Untold Plight of the Amhara People
Among the horror stories of weyyane’s 27 years of fascist rule werethose of chemical and biological genocide against the Amhara people of Ethiopia by elements of the business community of Tigray and their corporate fascist regime.
The business community of Tigray had happily helped the TPLF regime that launched chemical, and biological genocide against their Amhara brothers and embraced a fascist system that has committed the worst crimes of humanity against the Amharas for no reason other than their regime’s greed and hate.
The company leadership has received financial disbursement from development bank of Ethiopia, in addition to training in chemical “warfare” in advanced countries like Italy. The business community of Tigray has been discovered as being heavily involved in the all rounded war against the Amharas to benefit with a return they get for accompanying the system in its Amhara genocide, occupation, oppression, killing, disenfranchisement and sterilization Amhara women. The business community of Tigray has also been providing assistance to the terrorist regime in their attempts to extend the misrule of the fascist system under TPLF.
Tigray merciless soldiers were committing a genocide of Amharas and murdering of innocent Amhara women and children. The all rounded war against the Amharas that has been planned, instigated, financed, executed and propagated by fascist weyyane is intended to serve several purposes. One Amhara people are key for any change in Ethiopia and the war is to remove all the change agents and obstacles of grand plunder by the weyyanes; another ( if possible) to completely eradication or weaken the Amharas as they are deemed to be number one enemy of the creation of their promise land, the Great Republic of Tigray.

- a) A Tigryan is defined as anybody that speaks the language of Tigrigna including those who live outside Tigray, the Kunamas, the Sahos, the Afar and the Taltal, the Agew, and the Welkait.
b) The geographic boundaries of Tigray extend to the borders of the Sudan including the lands of Humera and Welkait from the region of Begemidir in Ethiopia, the land defined by Alewuha which extends down to the regions of Wollo and including Alamata, Ashengie, and Kobo, and Eritrean Kunama, the Saho and Afar lands including Assab.
C) The final goal of the TPLF is to secede from Ethiopia as an independent “Republic of Greater Tigray” by liberating the lands and peoples of Tigray.
