I think this is a valid question in the right direction but a world driven by a mob mentality has no time to pause and ask for a reason. Reason is a scarcity in the world of herd mentality.

I am afraid it will get worse before getting better.

It is dejavu all over again.
We all remember in the 1998-2000 when woyane hoodwinked the Ethiopians that it was going to overthrown PIA, steal Assab and got spanked its as*s, losing over 125 thousand poor ethiopian young kids......nothing to gain...PiA still is the leader of Erit, Assab is still and will always be Eritrean.....but still woyane, it's supporters.....heck even some gullible Ethiopians believe (hoodwinked) that woyane led Ethiopia won the war.
All the bull crap that meles stopped the war is just bull crap.
A winning army doesn't vacate occupied territories and get dragged to court. It stays put their to have an upper hand at the negotiation table. A winning army doesn't beg the international community to put international troops 25 miles deep in the supposedly losing country. What was woyane afraid if that it begged its white masters to do so?
Temporary territorial gains at the cost of 1000 Ethiopians soldiers to 1 Eritrean soldier is not a winning formula.
Eritrea is not stupid. When one is overwhelmed with hundreds of thousand enemy soldiers it got to retreat and regroup to attack again. That is why it took us 30 years to be free. Had Eritrea blindly I fronted 1000 soldiers to 1, it is suicidal.
But truth is that Eritrea went to the eastern part of Eritrea and cut the logistics to the over 200 thousands woyane led ethio troops and meles to save face begged for cease fire and to go to the court.
People use logic and common sense.
Very sad that Eritrea has to lose 29 thousand to the 125 thousand of woyans led Ethiopians.
But it did so, and Eritrea stayed as it was while woyane let other ethios get killed in the war and didn't change or gained any thing.
I mean why do generals lose that many kids just to say, we were deep inside Eritrea and to run away with their tails tacked behind their legs to the international court.

There has been a full services blackout there -- power, phone, internet -- for nearly a week, CNN's producer reports.
