It is not possible to tame an Egypt ruled by Moslem brotherhood, or a civilian, democratically elected Egyptian government. But it is possible to tame a military dictator like Al Sissy, who remains friend with Saudi Arabia and other US friendly Arab countries while remaining hostile to Iran.
