TPLFβs belief in its own superiority in a wartime scenario with Ethiopia, likely arises from the fact that it felt Ethiopia was diplomatically isolated in the international community. Case in point: Wondimu Asaminew's braggadocio before the war, about Ethiopia being in the "jungle".

What newspaper could possibly sell TPLF's unilateral ethnic, secessionist war in Ethiopia against a Nobel Prize-winning PM to the international community? None, likely. Therefore, TPLF depends on disinformation to manufacture consent for war.
How does the media justify using disinformation, about the Tigray conflict? By alleging a "communications blackout", in spite of evidence to the contrary.
