When the Tigray terrorists attacked our Northern Command forces in their sleep, their goal was to arm themselves with the weapons they had confiscated from their Ethiopian victims and march towards Addis Ababa to overthrow our popular federal government. Their plan also called for the ONEG Shene armed groups to storm prisons and free Jawar Mohammed and Bekele Gerba, whom the agame wanted to install in power in Ethiopia, both as Prime Minister and President, respectively, while the Tigray terrorists pull the strings behind the scenes.
It was a perfect plan that had gone horribly awry when neighboring Eritrea said "Not under my watch!" and armed the survivors of the Northern Command forces to the teeth, and sent them back across the border to kick some terrorists aśś with a vengeance. The Tigray terrorists that were getting ready to march towards Addis Ababa, found themselves fighting a losing war in Tigray as they helplessly watched their "perfect plan" shredded into 11 pieces. Eritrea's support forced the predator agames to become the prey and instantly shifted the balance of military power towards our Ethiopian Defense Forces. By that time, almost every weapon confiscated by the Tigray terrorists was captured and turned back against them as they ran to their mountainous hideouts that later became their grave.
IMAGINE if Eritrea had chosen to remain neutral and stayed out of the conflict for fear of upsetting CNN, BBC, Reuters, The New York Times, AlJazeera, Egypt, the EU, the US...etc?
Just IMAGINE the horror of watching the total disintegration of Ethiopia being executed by Prime Minister Jawar Mohammed and President Bekele Gerba at the orders of their TPLF terrorist leaders whose ultimate goal was to conquer Eritrea and declare Tigray's independence.
CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT

"If your neighbor's house is on fire, you don't haggle over the price of your garden hose."
For the last 3 decades we Eritreans have been saying that, a strong and united Ethiopia is at the core of our Eritrean national interest, however some Ethiopians were reluctant to take our words for it, either due to holding the preconceived notion of being their former foes, or living next door to a strong nation would somehow make us Eritreans feel vulnerable. But when we Eritreans talk about wanting to see a very strong and united Ethiopia, we are actually talking about a country that is able to feed itself, and a nation free from servile regimes that serve as proxies for neo-colonial powers.
That's our definition of a strong nation. Not a military might, for we have seen billions of dollars worth of Russian military hardware turned into ashes during Eritrea's struggle for independence. Nor economic prowess, for we believe a rising tide lifts all boats. Ethiopia at peace with itself is a country at peace with all its neighbors. It's only when the country is ruled by mercenaries that it becomes a threat, not only to its neighbors, but also to its own existence. It is therefore to our Eritrean national interest to see Ethiopia flourish, thrive and prosper to the benefit of its own people. If that means coming running with our water hose when our smoke alarm detects smoke next door.
