As an Eritrean i am disappointed at pm abiy for not lobbying against the illegal sanction on Eritrea by Eu.
I was expecting that pm abiy will do all in his power politically and diplomatically and financially to lobby the eu against their illegal sanctions on eritrea. He acted as if we eritreans always must sacrifice and die for saftey of ethiopia. i must say i am disappointed at pm abiy.

I feel you, at the same time remember
Abiy will do what’s good for Abiy
Don’t put to much faith on him bro! If he has to choice between ferenjis alliance and his mother
.. I bet you he’d choose the ferenjis (Us/Eu)
Senator Coons trip was test for him and he survived the test for Abiy... this is a dog eat dog world and if you put to much faith on politician, you will always be disappointed.
He has his meeting with the senator and the next day, he admitted Eritreans crossed the border for the first time in line with what the usa has been saying and the senator said progress made in Ethiopia and the tone changed in the Biden regime. That tells me it’s a coordinated face saving mechanism for both Abiy and Biden administration... kiss it out
and make peace. As for the junta the USA knows it’s dead and they will just send some expired wheat but nothing else.
This is a win for Abiy to get the ferenjis out of his back and good for the ferenjis to pretend like stopping genocide... win-win
What’s there for Eritrea= junta is dead and toothless sanctions ehhh
As long as Abiy is not on board to be the new servant of the ferenjis in the neighborhood like Meles was, it’s not all lost for Eritrea, but never say never and be ready for any thing is the best policy...
So far so good in the neighborhood... Tplf dead= priceless
