Ethiopia now ranks 120th in e-commerce, from 140th in 2018. Not enough, a big leap is needed!
We are still in an infant stage when it comes to e-commerce and need a huge leap in the ICT sector. It gives me hope that both the PM and the CEO of Ethio-Telecom really understand how crucial the ICT sector is for the development e-commerce in the country. The readiness of the central bank to help this sector is also encouraging. Hopefully in the next 2 years we will make a huge leap in this sector but at least come under 100th rank. That should be the minimum goal.
