Why is the TPLF junta Generals and colonels are tried in civilian court than court Marshal

Post by Lakeshore » 02 Jan 2021, 17:27

I have noticed a great error in our justice system regarding the TPLF junta who are captured or surrendered. Those grade four so-called generals and colonels for that matter all TPLF forces should not be tried in civilian court because they are not civilians. Since they considered themselves as modern military they should be tried in military court marshal. I do not understand why the law has to be bent to accommodate these sworn enemies of the country. It is a common practice in many countries around the world. As military personal, they have special training in publicly funded military training camps and weapons to kill any enemy of the nation. Therefore, they are granted unfair advantages over civilians to carry assault weapons, access to sensitive information and locations, ability to organize and mobilize as a group without any questions, accumulate weapons of mass destruction, and access to create contact to foreign military powers and military intelligence organization.

All these special privileges cames with higher standards than any civilians because if they use all these capabilities adversely the damage they cause to the country, peace, economy, and social integrity so immense it leads to Coup d'état and moved the country into a military dictatorship.

In a democratic society, a power transfer happens only through elections. However, there are other ways of power transfer as we have witnessed before, Atse Haileselasie, Mengistu, and TPLF junta are very recent events in our history using force. In order to discourage this kind of forceful power transfer and bloodshed and create a level playing field military, police, intelligence officers and government officials have to be held to the highest standard of ethics and professionalism. when they broke those responsibilities and used their power against their own people and nations the international law states that they do not enjoy the privilege of the civilian court system rather they will be tried under court marshal or special pannel.

Therefore, trying to judge this military or higher government official under a civilian law by itself is a criminal act because as law enforcement or interpreting organization it should be apparent to know this and act accordingly. as a consequence, I ask Abyi to uphold the law and all TPLF military personnel and higher government officials, diplomats to be tried in court marshal.

And any associated with those anti-Ethiopian can't get the privilege of protection under the Ethiopian law. Any other armed group who actively participating in civilian killing and against the government should be considered as an enemy combatant and should be tried in a special panel, not the civilian court system.

Long live Ethiopia and down with TPLF,OLF and OPDP junta.

The red line must be drawn between the opposition and those who carry arms and terrorize our peoples. Those who are captured or surrender while carrying weapons shouldn't be allowed to mix with the civilian court system. They have to be held at different places and different justice process that is fit for their betrayal. They have to be classified as enemy combatants and kept separately because they are a security risk in including jawar Mohamed because he had four rifles and killed or caused to be killed more than 80 innocent peoples.

USA had a similar problem and they kept all dangerous members of ISIS in Guantanamo bay out of civilization the same hast be done for these banda Tigree and OLF until the rule of law prevails again then the Government can look into their case if time and budget allowes.

I watched the three military officials' discussion about the jurisdiction of the military court and civilian court. I believe it is a good start to assure Ethiopians that TPLF juntas will be judged in court marshal because of the gravity of their crime. Also for those who are not on active duty in the military but carry arms and stand against the Ethiopian people to be tried in a special panel not in a civilian court system.

This distinction is very important to send the right message for anyone who dares to raise arms against the Ethiopian people's will. They will be dealt with fairly but firmly. It makes it clear that there is a big difference to carry arms and struggle peacefully. This day this distinction seems blurred some groups like OLF, OFECO, TPLF tried to take power through arms struggle, and when that seems not working they come in as an opposition party without any consequences.

When someone of some group carries an arm to fight it is a statement by itself. It means there is no peaceful path to achieve their goal in a democratic way except by force. Therefore, we have to make it very difficult for those groups or individuals to go into arms struggle unless and otherwise the exhaust every peaceful way. for those who choose to fight should understand it is treason to go that way and carry the ultimate
