This is historical Derg's monument erected in Churchill avenue Addis Ababa. It was erected to remember for those Ethiopian and Cuban soldiers who were participated in Ethio-Somli war.
In my opinion, this is the best monument in Ethiopian history. Weyane erected statue for Melse Zenawi which doesn't look Meles at all. But in Derg's monument anybody can figure it out where Mengistu Hailemairam was in that sculpture.
Everything touched my feeling, in deed it is very great asset.
But the water fountain was removed, I don't know why. I will post the video which shows the water fountain at the peak of Derg's reign.

Even today, many structures are designed and built by outsiders. The WWII war memorial in DC is designed and sculpted by a Japanese artist; the African-American museum is designed by an African-British architect; modern architecture is introduced to Chicago by Germans . Likewise, almost all buildings in Dubai are designed and built by foreigners. So, what the fvck is your problem?
