Abdalla Eltayeb (2 June 1921 – 19 June 2003) was a prominent Sudanese scholar of the Arabic language.He was born in the village of Temirab west of Damer City. He received his primary education in the cities of Kassala, Damer and Barber, graduated from Gordon Memorial College (now known as University of Khartoum), and received his PhD from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London in 1950.

He was elected first as a Dean of the Faculty of Arts (1961–1974) and then as the President (1974–1975) of the University of Khartoum. He was the first Director of the University of Juba (1975–1976) and the founder and Provost of Abdullahi Bayero College (1964-1966) which later became Bayero University Kano.

Abdalla Eltayeb's primary field of study was the Arabic language. One of his most notable works is A Guide to Understanding Arabic Poetry, a massive opus written over thirty five years.Eltayeb was also president of Khartoum's Arab Language League and a member of Cairo's Arabic Language Academy.

People who are not amenable to reason irrespective of their level of education,age or race like to invent things. I mentioned Prof. Al-Tayyib to remind Ethiopians that it is not only a stupid Oromo or Amhara who has the tendency to make up things. The phenomenon is universal.

Prof. Al-Tayyib, as an Arabic language scholar. knows perfectly that the word " musHaf " ( meS'Haf ) was what the companions acquired during their stay in Abyssinia and used it to refer to their Holy Book upon their return to Arabia. Of course " Christian Kingdom " is also a clear evidence which indicates the location of the migration without any doubt but people who fantasize are not interested in evidence. Prof Al-Tayyib clearly wanted Abyssinia to be in Sudan and be proud in the face of the Arabs as a person hailing from the country of the First Migration of the companions.

አንድ የግብጽ ታሪክ ጸሃፍ መገለጢጥ ስለኦሮሞ ብዙ ጽፏል። መነሻቸው ግብጽ፤ ከዚያም ሱዳን ሞንሮ እያለ ወደ ታች ይወርዳል። ሌላው ኦሮሞዎች የጻፉት ከማደጋስካር መጣን የተባለው ነው። በኢሃድግ ዘመን የኢትዮጵያ ነባር ህዝቦች ናቸው ተባለ። ፕሮፌሰር መሃመድ ሃሰን እንዴት ከባሌ እንደተስፋፉ ይናገራል። የግብጹ ፓለቲካቸው እንደሆን ስለተጋለጠም ይሆናል አሁን ተረስቷል። የኢሃደግ ትርፍ ሳይሆን አልቀረም። አስተማማኝ የፕሮፌሰሩ ነው።

የኦሮሞ፤ የትግሬ፤ የሶማሌ፤ የወላይታና የአማራም መልክ...የሚባል አለ። ሆኖም ሁሉምጋ ድብልቅልቁ የወጣ ነው ምናልባት ከአንዳንድ ዘላኖች በሰተቀር። መሬት ፍለጋ ባዶ መሬት ሲያገኘ የሰፈረ፤ በንግድና በጦርነት ምክንያት በሞጋሳም ልሰሜን እስከደቡብ የተቀላቀለ ህዝብ ነው። ረዘም ያለ ታሪክ ያለው አገርና ህዝብ ስለሆነ የሃበሻ መልክ የሚባለው ሁሉምጋ ይገኛል። ። በተጨማሪም ዋናው ለረጅም ጊዜ የባሪያ ንግድ ያመጣው መደበላለቅ ነው። ይህም Dኤንኤ ሲፈተሽ ብቻ ማጣራት ይቻላል።

የፈለገ ታሪክ ቢወራም ሁሉም ህዝብ ማንነቱን ያውቃል። ማን ከየት እንደመጣ፤ ማን ምን እንደሆነ እስከ ሰባት ቤት ቆጥረው የሚያገቡ ማህበረሰቦች አሉ። የህዝቡ አዋቂዎችን (organic) መጠየቅ ነው። family tree ለምን በቀበሌ ወይም በባህል ወይም የባህል ጥናት ማዕከል ተጽፎ አይቀመጥም ብዬ መጠየቄ ትዝ አለኝ። ትግራይ? ማን ምን እንደሆነ ህዝቡ በድንብ ያውቃል! ያስቸገሩት እናውቅልሃለን ባዮች፤ አዋቂ ነን ተራኪ ነን የሚሉ የጊዜው (inorganic) ምሁራኖች ናቸው።
