I just want to finish about their personality and continue our real story their fore I cam to add few facts.
Couple of years or moths before Woyane came to Addis Ababa there were two senior rebels’ members defected to the Ethiopian side. Mr. Gebremedihen and Mr. Abraham yayeh and exposed TPLF to the Ethiopian people they even wrote a book about TPLF. TPLF attempts to kill them many times. As a result, they have assigned a very highly trained former ant-hyjackers as their personal bodyguard. One named Shanqo because his very dark skinned and the other one Mesfin.
Once when they were around Dehabe hotel in Piazza three peoples tried to attack Abrham yayeh thanks for his skilled bodyguard he chasses them and one of them was hurt badly on his face. As soon as, woyane reached Addis Ababa they wee looking for them, but they left the country through the border to the neighbouring countries. After that they have falsely accused the bodyguards and sentences them to a very harsh 18 years in jail. I believe they might be out and safe. I can imagine the relief and happiness they feel now.

Tplf had a very long arm and they tried to accuse Abraham yayes and Gbremedihn in Uganda and other African countries by doing so they have forced them to flee further to Australia and other countries. Especially there were one low level field information gatherer who has been working in the Derg intelligence and when TPLF comes he become their paid informer and caused many of his friends to be arrested and killed. He was known by the name Zewdu Taye. I heard he was married to Hayelom's sister. He then stationed in Kenya and being instrumental in TPLF’s cross-boarder assassination of many OLF members. Including the famous killing of Alemayehu who was The Tigray worker's party chair man ኢሰፓ in Kenya. He was also responsible for the poisoning and death of one of our co-workers Asseged Ali who was an expert in code-breaking he was trained in CUBA for more than 5 years. Because he wants to take over his position and glory.

Later because of his loyalty and health issues, he had a back-problem hernia, he was stationed in Dubai Ethiopian embassy as an intelligence attaché with assistance from our department and abused and many Ethiopians.

All TPLF does not have any money at that time. We were the ones who took them to bars and buy them tea. They do not like coffee but tea. Also, one thing that surprised me they do not have any appetite. it was very cheap to host them they eat one food for three or four. Usually, they like bread and tea. For example, I gave my sneaker to Debretsion for volleyball. Once he asked me to borrow and I gave him it was big for him, but he likes it then I did not take it back also because of the fungus.

I just want to add a few opinions. I know what I am writing doesn't make some people happy and even might frighten them thinking what is he going to write next or is he going to mention my name? That much will be enough about the woyane member's personality. They come in a group to Addis Ababa. Most of them were radio operators in the field. Including Debretsion. The only difference about him was that when they buy their communication equipment the price includes training and Debretsion was the one who was trained for two months on that equipment. Because of that and his added ago he was considered an electronics wit. However, I found out once they came to visit different operation sites and when I tutor him, he is not any better than a high school graduate technician. For that matter, I want to point out one other self-promotion created by woyane. All fighters who care for the wounded called themselves nurses. In the field you will be trained hot to clean and dress a wound I guess for about three weeks then you become a nurse.
When they came to Addis, they keep their title and continue to function in different responsibilities in public hospitals. Besides that, almost all of them have the same level of education and understanding. Their personal history is almost the same, poor, skinny, did not know any city at all.
Actually, I want to share with you one occasion as Ahmedin Hagos told me. He was young like me so whenever we are in the office and no one around we talked a lot. I really understand that he came from a different world and the woyane propaganda and what he was seeing in the ground confused him.
He told me that in the desert they usually traveled in the evening to avoid air raids. During their long walk many Tegadalies died by falling over a cliff I think around Debrebrhan. By now Debretsion and his team able to conduct not major operations by themselves without letting me who the target is. However, still, they were doing a lot of dangerous botched operations. Sometimes they call me to fix it and make it work in time.

The scariest thing happened to me one Wednesday morning. I was swimming, at Addis Ababa Ghion hotel, early in the morning, around 6 am. The Riviera branch Hotel manager by the name Taddesse, I know him very well, came towards me at the side of the pool and told me there are heavily armed peoples looking for you and they send him to convey the message to me. I thought he was joking and replied to him you are right and swam away. Then two armed men on each side of the pool surrounded the pool and one of the lifeguards Thilahun said hey this is no joke I think you should come out.

Then I adamantly get out and dressed and surrounded by them went out of the compound. Outside, there was a pickup truck with a big machine gun on top of it. They told me to get in and drove me to the main department of intelligence office near Bambi’s supermarket. That was the longest car ride I ever had. As soon as we reached there, they took me to the second floor to a person called Colonel Bogale. He was a former Derg military colonel who came to Addis with them.

He asked my name what I was doing before woyane came to Addis and he asked how many secret offices I have in Addis and asked me to show them all. he said beginning from Ghion hotel. I told him everything and currently, I am working from the foreign department office under the supervision Issayas and Debretsion. I do not have my personal office out of my department. All of the other offices are for the government to use only no for me.

He asked me where did I get my special military training is it in Israel? Now I got confused and asked him what military training? He said I have all the information about you do not even try to hide it

He said you are a highly trained special commando that why we have been waiting for you the whole night with eight of our best men. I chuckled a bit and told him, listen I have no military training and never fire a pistol. Then he also looked confused and said wait and took me to Issayas and Getachew Asefa office on the next floor.

I did not know Issayas had an office here too. I told him everything that happened to me in the morning angrily. While I was sitting quietly, they argued for a very long time finally Issayas gave me a ride to our office. I was shocked and very upset, on our way I told Issayas, now you guys can do the operation by your self and asked him to accept my resignation. He said we will discuss it and let you know soon.

After a year, they send many more former employees of the Derg to prison in the second wave of the arrest. This sends a shockwave throughout the department. Because almost everybody thinks it was over and everyone continues working. One of my closest friends got laid off not arrested but two of my immediate supervisors sent to jail in Holota for about a year and a half. I was a bit outspoken and now I know for sure if I stay with them, I will be the next one. In our office, there is one married woman that we have a relationship strictly sexual, with no movies or hangouts.

One day Ahmedin called me and told me that they are going to evaluate you (gemgema) about your relationship with the woman in the office and you should be careful. I was so scared, and I told her, and we never talked to each other while we are in office.
The next operation was the one that scares me the most. Debretsion wants me and him only to bug Issayas’s office.

I came back.
So, the shocking question came from Debretsion. He called me in his office and told me there is a top-secret operation, because of that he said it is only you and me that will do the operation. And he told me I should not even share with Ahmedin Hagos or Solomon belay. I was puzzled and asked him who is the target ሁሌ አንድሚለው ድህና ደህና እሱ ችግር የለውም but I told him if it is secret for them then how come you are telling me? Then he replied nervously they also have another operation. This one needs to be completed quickly and there is no room for error so we will do this, and they will do the other one.

He told me to go home and rest and he will pick me up around midnight. I was not much bothered but his nervousness makes me question who the target was and can’t wait till midnight.
He came quartet to 12 pm with two cars. In the second car, there were four armed men that I do not know before. We went to the office only me and him the other car stayed outside in front of Genet hotel. We spent about 1 hr preparing our equipment and he drives me to the main head office of intelligence that is around Bambis Supermarket. Both cars enter the compound, and another additional two peoples were there. They help us carry the equipment to the third floor. Debretsion opened the office and told me this is the office that we need to watch and listen to. I asked him who’s office this is.
He said ደህና let us not worry about it and start working and we started it took us about three hours. Four people guard outside of the building and two of them were inside even Teklay, Debretsion’s guard was not there that day.

But in my previous post, I told you that I was escorted from the swimming pool and taken to the main office to Colonel Bogale and Bogale took me to Issayas’s office. The office that Debretsion brought me to eavesdrop is the same office Issays occupied. However, Debretsion did not know I know the office before. Then Halfway through our work, I asked him where do you want the control room to be is it from our office or what? He said, no it from the Center for Techniqueየ ቴክኒክ ማእከል. It is one of the Branche department located around Kebena.

Debretsion is the head of that department. After we have completed the workaround 4am they drop me home. After one day, we went to the technique center and I tested the devices while Debrestion talking with Issays and having tea.

I am here again to continue the story of Debretsion and Woyane. I was very much worried about the operation that we did in the past week. My fear emanated from to aspects. The first one Debretsion him self looked paranoid I do not why, he couldn’t even trust his own so called guard in quotation Teklay but he is his bi..ch, he can’t trust me more than his tegadalay friend. It is because the absolute need that I came to know about, and he thinks I did not know it was Issayas’s office if he knows then I will be the first victim. The second danger is what if Issays, somehow find out about the operation? He knows I did it and he think I collaborate with Debretsion knowingly.
I know how [ deleted ] both are, and this makes me unease. At last, I decided to remind Issayas about my resignation letter that I gave him previously. I went to his office and nicely told him how all the trainees become good in their work and told him even if they need my help, they still can ask me, and I promised to help them out also told him that. Then told me to come back after three days, in the meantime he said he will speak to Debretsion and the trainees about it.
On the second day Debretsion called me and asked me to meet him in Oroscopo it is a small restaurant around Lion pharmacy or Enrico pastry. I took him once and he likes a lot. After work I directly went, he had ordered me chotolate and beer for me and pizza and soft drink for him. The first question he asked me what happened? I asked him back why you ask me that. He told me about how Issayas called him and told him about my resignation. Oh! I said no It was a follow up about my resignation letter that I wrote to both you and him. Debretsion said let me help you to be transferred to the Technique center if you do not like it there. I told him no I just need a break and maybe try some business. Ok before that he continued, I want the controller at technique center to be passive meaning he does not a person to monitor it but to be automatic voice and motion-activated to be in his drawer out of sight. I told him in order to do that we have to change the equipment and need to go to the office again and we need more time.
He then said ደህና ደህና ችግር የለውም. He continued even if you get your resignation you still have a responsibility to help and you will contact me for anything. I said sure just help me.
On the third day I went to Issayas’s office and he told me the condition of my resignation. He told me I cannot leave the country at list for 5 years. I cannot join any political organization. I will help them whenever they need technical help. They will not give me a resignation letter, but they will send it directly to the company or organization if I am required to do so. I told him that this is like being in prison. He said do not worry now it is the transitional government but once we won the election and come to power You can go wherever you want to go. I asked him again so when does it started and severance pay? He said he assigned Alemseged Gebreamlak ( wedi Gura) and Ahmedin hagos to follow equipment and document and information audit once you get your clearance you can go. About the payment, I asked he said now we do not have budget we will contact you about it. I feel relieved but still, I feel tied to them also.
The main problem started when Debretsion after a month-long ግምገማ came to me and asked me if I spoke about the operation to anyone? I said no why? He said ደህና ደህና but he looked very nervous and worried. He again asked to go and remove the device by my self, but he will arrange for me to go there. Hey, that is a very blunt question but to answer your question? The department is foreign affairs and the protocol didn't allow to monitor citizens, unfortunately, we know the target as a person but not their affiliation completely if they are not obviously clear. For example, lencho Leta, Gelassa dilbo, Doctor Mekonnen of AAPP. However. the Eritrean embassy around the stadium and there was one Eritrean military office in front of Goma kuteba or 5th police division in Addis they were always under constant monitor I believe it is still under surveillance.

At that time I thought Professor Endrias Eshete, Professor Musse, the tyrant Tamirat Layene were Eritreans until I have seen them In woyane's circle. It was very difficult for most Ethiopian to differentiate. One of the owners of the pastry shop in piazza and Tekelehaimanot named Gebretensay and Belay Tekelu their home was also under surveillance by Debretsion and Issayas order. Besides that any government official that comes to Ethiopia was under surveillance it doesn't matter if it is European or African. Most of the time the information is not for Ethiopian government consumption only but many developed nations were getting their information from Ethiopia for money and economic collaboration.

I think what we are seeing in Tigray now is not any different. The agame juntas all of them especially Getachew and Debretsion were servants of foreign powers like Egypt, Saudi Arabia , England and China. Their sudden collapse sent a shock wave to the intelligence world. They do not want these people to fall into the hands of Abyi and got interrogated. That is why they are trying to smuggle them out if possible but if not they will make sure they are dead. If for some reason they got caught then they will isolate them as a dictator and sadistic and make them a scapegoat and rot in jail.

Here it is a bit off topic but it will show to the readers how foreign intelligence officers and government meddle in other countries business covertly and as their policy allocate budget. Britsh was and is involved in bringing TPLF to power and now also trying to smuggle them out of Ethiopia or kill them. They are using UN, Sudan, and Oromia leaders to destabilize Ethiopia and through chaos, they want to do their agenda. I have a chapter about their agent who was working in Addis Ababa NGO called Red Barnen the agent was known by the name Jerry who used to travel to Mekelle almost every week. And also another NGO GTZ employee female by Conny, who was also living in Addis.

The following information is found from a recently declassified document of the British MI6

British intelligence engaged in a far more active programme of covert activity in Latin America in the 1960s than previously understood, it has been claimed.

While the work of US intelligence in the region has been widely publicised, the UK role is much less known.

But Prof Rory Cormac of the University of Nottingham says recently declassified files reveal attempts to influence elections and disrupt trade unions in a number of countries.

At the start of the 1960s, the UK dramatically increased covert action in Latin America, undertaking what was called "special political action", including propaganda and forgeries which aimed to influence the public, primarily against communism.
"This is surprising because historians tend to associate UK covert operations with targets in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, and assume that the British left Latin America to the CIA," Prof Cormac told the BBC.

'Black propaganda'
After a diplomat named Ronnie Burroughs visited Latin America on behalf of the British Foreign Office and MI6 in 1961, a decision was taken in London to increase covert action - activities where the role of Britain was kept hidden with a particular focus on "black" propaganda, which involves false material or where people are deliberately misled about who is producing it.

The region was seen as of growing importance globally but also with signs of increasing communist influence, especially after the Cuban revolution.

The region had not been a particular focus for London and its ally, Washington, normally took the lead, considering it part of his "sphere of influence". The US was still far more active but the UK, Prof Cormac says, became involved partly as a means of currying influence with America and also to increase trade in the region.
"The UK conducted these covert operations for two reasons," he says. "First, to demonstrate partnership to the US in order to inject leverage into an increasingly one-sided relationship. Second, the British wanted to exploit a perceived US decline in the region and capture a growing economic market. These two objectives did not always sit together harmoniously."

The UK increased the number of those working on propaganda in the region and MI6 opened new stations, including in Chile and Venezuela (a UK official rating the latter as a "a major prize": "She is a very rich country and her government is a major source of investment capital").

The main mission was to counter communism using propaganda and working with churches, trade unions and political parties.

The operations included creating a new mass-circulation magazine in Colombia and distributing pamphlets in Chile and Bolivia. Local radio producers were bribed to get airtime and produced tapes to be played. One Briton boasted "that if he was given £100,000 to play with he could buy virtually all the radio commentators in the Andean region!"

They also worked with priests in Bolivia to distribute material and counter Soviet and Cuban propaganda.

In Ecuador, they worked with priests who were thought to be able to mobilize people to act against President Carlos Julio Arosemena Monroy, who was viewed by the British as a "thoroughly unprincipled and undesirable character".

They thought they could bring, if needed, a "mob" of at least 5,000 people, largely Catholic youths, on to the streets of Quito, according to Prof Cormac's article The Currency of Covert Action: British Special Political Action in Latin America, 1961-64 published in the Journal of Strategic Studies.

Based on files, declassified in 2019 and 2020, he says the UK worked on trade unions through infiltrating and capturing them or disrupting meetings.

One idea involved targeting Brazilian President João Goulart with a forged document indicating that the communists were taking over the trade unions to make him fear his own position within them was being undermined by the hard left.

This was not carried out though and he was overthrown in a coup - backed by the US - in 1964.

In some cases, they considered trying to influence elections, notably a presidential election in Chile in 1964 which they feared the socialist Salvador Allende might win.
"Once in power the chances are that Allende would be maneuvered by the communists, either willingly or otherwise, and that the end-product might well be a Government on the Cuban pattern," a file reads. But here British efforts were dwarfed by those of the US which spent around $3m over two years on trying to influence the same election.

Overall, Prof Cormac argues the UK was using covert action partly to "maintain a global role on the cheap".
