After half a century of long period and after going through three revolutions that put ethno Ethiopian social relation upside down, do the Amhara elites of today willing to teach their people to live in unity and harmony based on equality with the rest of Ethiopians, or will they just keep talk democracy & unity in one hand and maintain the supremacist attitude of their last generation in another? Time will tell we shall see.

One might argue that this is one man's thought, an individual opinion. But the fact is it is not. This was the kind of mentality that was shared by the Majority of Amhara elites and people alike.

Commencing in the Menilik era and beyond, especially in and during the forty-four long years of the emperor Haile's reign the image of Ethiopia and Ethiopianism was constructed and let lived until Dergue's era as to Amhara/ Tigre are cutes first class and super citizens and the rest are primitive and low casts as the good ambassador loved to put it.

my suggestion is. try to come up with inclusive and fair system for all. stop demonizing whole ethnic group. change your language from woyane stupid dedebit language to democratic lanaguages like equality, freedom, fair share etc. count on me to support this kind of system but anything that starts with the word amhara or neftegna is destined to fail. አፍንጫህን ላስ!

You went to Meqele and bombed Woyane to ash and you had a picture inside Alula AbaNaga airport with the generals, and you conducted a successful meeting in once Woyane held assembly hall right?
That means to me woyane is gone a done deal affair, at least for now.

The Amhara supremacist attitude we see in this video is the one that gave birth to OLF, Woyane, EPLF and many other ethno nationalists across the country. In other words, it is Amhara’s chauvinistic mentality that we see in this video is that introduced tribalism politics to Ethiopia that we all abhor.

There is no ground that makes OLF and Woyane’s tribal politics a curse and that makes its parent Amhara chauvinism a holly. Must be diagnosed and treated equally.

The one truth you (and your ilk ) conveniently avoid in all your condemnation of the " chauvinist Amharas " is the mighty contribution Amharas have made in the struggle for freedom and equality of all Ethiopians; never suspecting weyanes and OlFits would turn all the spears against them make to them a moving target . None of the weyane and Oromo tribalist would have struggled against their own as much as Amharas did(in the most vicious way unimaginable ) to dismantled the so called “Amhara” system of oppression . We have lived though 28 years of Weyanes , and we are witnessing , the uppity Weyanes’ of OLF kind aiming at the same – domination for the past two and half years. Given this truth Amharas were light years ahead in their social consciousness than their compatriot By pulling out a single individual's stupidity( which is many decads old) as a vindication of Amharas state of mind in 2020 is doing injustice to Amharas of today’s or the past generation Amharas who fought for justice and equality. However, the issue of “Amhara Chauvinist” hullabaloo is simply a cry of victim-hood where none exist. Celebrating Temket is a sign of Amhara Chauvinism , waving Ethiopian historical flag that brought a historical victory against colonialism is a sign of Chauvinism, but all weyane plastered so called flags of a thousand kind is an OK . Amharas should be able to live freely just like any other Ethiopians. They should respect other Ethiopians cultural and societal norms and they should demand that respect to be reciprocated by others . If anyone has a dream of keeping Amharas down by concocted victim-hood, that time came and gone. Let us all be brave and live fully in the now with mutual respect and understanding.

the main problem with these LFs is they are all anti amhara and we have seen enough in the last 30 years what their political aim is: make every amhara state enemy #1, massacre and displace innocent amhara farmers, women and children. that is all they are up to at least for us.

if they were struggling FOR equality, justice, democracy and fair share then i would be the first to join them. but they are not. they are not FOR but ANTI amhara people. they are all about inciting hate against innocent amharas using code words line negtegna which of course lead to massacre of civilians and destruction of property.
