Update on the possible civil War in Ethiopia

Post by AbebeB » 05 Nov 2020, 14:46

“Abiy ordered his troops into action against the TPLF), which runs Tigray, a northern region of Ethiopia” the Economist

Yet now the peacemaker has turned martial. Early on November 4th, while the world’s eyes were boggling at America’s elections, Abiy ordered his troops into action against the Tigrayan People’s Liberation Front (tplf), which runs Tigray, a northern region of Ethiopia (see article). He accuses the tplf of attacking an army base to steal weapons. “The last red line has been crossed,” he said. “The federal government is therefore forced into a military confrontation.” Fighting in Tigray could draw in neighbouring Amhara, which has long-standing disputes over the border between the two regions. It could also fan ethnic conflagrations elsewhere in Ethiopia.

Is Ethiopia Headed for Civil War? Tom Gardner reports from Addis Ababa on the escalating confrontation and explains how it could lead to civil war.

They should deport this reporter with soft heart for Tplf... the western journalist who dined and befriended with tplfits should be deported, since their reporting will be biased
Abiy did not start the war... Tplf did... get it right Tom Gardener

This is no civil war. Ethiopian government is doing its responsibility of keeping the country's peace and security.

Sam, Misraq, Fiyameta, Afdeyu and Wedi (all in one garbage basket),
I wish there could be no civil war in Ethiopia. I believe it benefits no one. Nevertheless, I am quoting what those, seemingly political insiders and analysts, are reporting.

Don’t behave like ignorant unless you are.

The best way to affirmatively contribute is to identify the cause and avert. This is my keen advise to those who are willing to do good.

"The conflict could spread to other parts of Ethiopia, where some regions have been calling for more autonomy, and deadly ethnic violence has led the federal government to restore measures including arresting critics." Cara Anna

Abebe b, the conflict will not spread anywhere. It ends right there in Tigray. What is more important : Ethiopians killing other Ethiopians based on ethnic identity will be buried along with TPLF. The countless Ethiopians who were killed since Abiy became to power was sponsored by TPLF. It will end pretty soon.
Abebe b, I know your uncles are political illiterates. But even knowing that I did not anticipate they made such senseless political malpractice. They are so stupid, arrogant and evil. They should exit the Ethiopian political space.

Spanking and destroying the lawless woyane will also be a learning experience for any kilil of Ethiopia which wanted to destabilize Ethiopia.
This is win, win for Ethiiopia.
So, stop your bullcrap, to save your woyane thugs.
This will help any discontent kilil to come to the table to iron out their differences instead of being shifta like woyane.

“Ethiopia is moving towards civil war as the Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed, declares a six-month state of emergency in Tigray state and orders Ethiopian government troops into the Tigray region of Ethiopia.” Associated Press

Abebe b, the one you quoted is not written by an Associated Press reporter. First, the giveaway is the English diction. Second, if it had been written by a reporter from Associated press, you would have pasted the Associated press paper itself.
Rather you posted einpresswire article. I do not know what it is. But my guts tells me it is a paper that promotes tribalism.
Not a good try in your part.
