Back in 1998 when the TPLF from Adwa were busy expelling 100,000 Eritreans and Ethiopians of Eritrean origin due to the color of their eyes, an Eritrean widow whose late husband was a well-known businessman from Axum who together owned a very popular music store in the Piassa neighborhood, she was forced out of her home in the dark of the night and got deported to Eritrea. The TPLF from Adwa couldn't deport her 18 year old son who was at home at the time, because his late father was a Tigraway from Axum, Tigray.

After his mother was deported to Eritrea, the teenager started running the business on his own and did very well. However, some TPLF officials from Adwa were looking for a justification to confiscate the music store, but they couldn't go against their own rule that says not to touch any property belonging to a Tigraway.

One evening after closing the music store, the teenager was walking home on foot when he got ambushed by TPLF officials from Adwa who slashed his throat and left his lifeless body on the sidewalks. Their victim's Tigraway identity didn't mean anything to them. Three days later his killers from Adwa confiscated the music store and changed its name to display their stealing prowess.
