Since the election is illegal, it will de-legitimize whatever government comes after the election. The Federal government of Ethiopia will then take any action it wants. But whatever happens, Eritrea will evict the Tigrayan settlers from its sovereign territories of Badme and Alitiena. If the TPLF militia tries to resist, then that gives Eritrea the right to chase them to Mekele and get rid of the thugs.

Sesame,

Why are you obssesed with Tigrayans? Let us say, they leave on their own, how would that change life in Eritrea ? You are talking as if Badme is contested. Badme is Eritrean. Period. Eritrean blood is not warranted to be wasted when in fact Badme is ruled Eritrean, and the Ethiopian government has accepted already. Weyane is Ethiopian problem not ours. You want them to be punished badly. You are not Ethiopian. Leave their problems to solve themselves, I guarantee you, only one day is remaining, and you are not going to see all the prediction you have been engaged in. Abbiy will ignore them. He has a lot of problems that are far more greater.

The TPLF are delegitimizing themselves with no one's help. PM Abiy is wisely following Napoleon Bonaparte's principle, which says: "Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake."
