USA punishes that bloody empire with 130M to appease Egypt
I think the USA just wants to make Egypt feel good by withholding the 130 Million Dollar it planned to support Ethiopia. America doesn't want to lose both countries as they are strategic allies to its interests. However, to help Egypt with its demand to put Ethiopia on some kind of pressure regarding the Dam, US needs to act. That way no serious harm to Ethiopia, just by cutting 130 or less.

there will be a documentary on the battle of Adwa that is going to be aired by BBC World News Service this weekend ( I saw its preview and somewhere in it heard that "Ethiopia the only African country to have never been colonized by the Europeans and their descendants" or very similar message).
So, if they think they can try to compensate that title by backholding their handouts, let it be. They have been helping us for decades, but that didn't change in the way we live much.
Bill Clinton wrote somewhere in his book (Autobiography) something like: "What we are is much more important than what we have" and Mr. Trump needs to perhaps read that phrase one more time and understand the meaning of it better.
