The Red Sea is an almost land locked water basin, the only connection with the large marine areas being through the narrow strait of Bab el Mandab leading to the Gulf of Berbera/Aden and fishes enter the Red Sea from the strait of bab el-mandeb.

However, China has now thousands of industrial trawlers off the shore of Djibouti to illegally fish near the border Djibouti-Eritrea taking all the fish before it enters the red sea leaving none for the Eritrean fishermen (Right now Afar are banned from fishing ) who rely on fish to survive and depend as their primary source of protein..

The Eritrean government is turning a blind eye as China thieves rapidly depleting fish stocks.
