I do not like The Amhara domination of Ethiopia. But distributing homes to one ethnic group only is unacceptable.The ex-mayor should be dragged to court. The homes should be given to all who need them. Special treatment to Oromos is simply wrong. These homes were built by the tax payer money, which means every one. Thus homes should distributed to all who need them.

This is going back to stone age tribalism. Opposing the domination of Amhara does not , allowing the domination of another tribe.

We should abolish ethnic federalism and build a democratic state where we guarantee the equality of all ethnic groups and citizens

Hmm...
The mayor deserves GOLD MEDAL and a statue for himself for acting in favor of equality and justice for all. By all means resettling people who have been forcefully ejected from their ancestral lands and became starving beggars and occasional part time guards and cooks for the same people who robbed them amounts to justice being delivered here on this very earth but not only up there in the heavens far above after death where delicious free gifts of Manna happens to be abundant.

Besides, who is complaining about the resettlement of the displaced other than the greedy land grabbing diaspora hedonist property brokers and property hoarders?
