Turkey was in Masswa only occasionally. There is nothing in the literature that Turkey colonised Ethiopia's or Tigray's part of The Red Sea. Enderta and Agame are closer to Red Sea than Kebessa of Eritrea.

Let me share with you a true story concerning a family member (immediate cousin) who was an EPLF combatant. He was a member of the mechanized unit during the march towards addis along with the weyanes (I mentioned this a year or so ago here in another thread).

Anyhow at the famous battle of ambo which is located perhaps 200 km away from addis he lost one of his essential organ namely one of his eyesight.

I wonder what would he say when he reads the denial. Other eris may have family members or friends who can testify that their family members or friends too took part and sadly to put weyanne in menilik palace.

Back to my cousin. He is now a higdef colonel and a die-hard one and believe me when I visit Eritrea (the last time I was there was more than a decade ago) I never talked politics with him b/c I feared him.

P.S. he is known among his comrades with 2 nicknames, aAwar (blind) and moshe dayan (the famous israeli one-eyed general). They tease each other and laugh.

I recall one incident when I was sitting with him and his comrades in a bar which made me laugh louder.
