Re: Breaking News: A chicken is sold for 1,000 birr in Mekelle!!!!
Well, they can’t loot Ethiopia anymore. They are waking up to reality now that they are close to eating rock very soon.
I was there when the border was open for a few months b/n Eritrea and Tigray, hundreds of Tigrean trucks were coming to all cities and towns of Eritrea and bought sheepes and cows in a fraction of what they had paid in Ethiopia and drove back to Tigray. The price of sheep, goats and cows sky rocketed in Eritrea for our citizens. I bought sheep for $800 Nakfa right before the border open and after these people arrived, they were going for $3000 to $4000. Now, back to $800 or less. They were bringing Ethiopian looted materials and grains to Eritrea and sold them 10 fold in Eritrea. They had both advantages; they loot from Ethiopia and sell it high in Eritrea. Thank god the border is closed for good. We gain NOTHING from having trade deal with these thieves.
