Badme has always been part of Ethiopia when Eritrea was a colony of Italy and later UK. Ethiopians should not give their own land away. Meles Zenawi deleted some of the evidences and misled the International Court that has passed the wrong sentence that Badme belongs to Eritrea. Italian geologist seem to have reported that Badme might have some oil and mineral deposit. Eritrea knows that Badme does not belong to them but they are claiming Badme for the possible presence of oil and mineral. The boundary between Ethiopia and Eritrea is already delimited by Italy and there should not be any claims and counter claims. The South Mereb Region should be under Ethiopia as per Wuchale treaty.
