Ethiopians, specially Amharas and Tigrayans are pathological liars. Menelik co-llaborated with Italy and france to bring colonialism to Africa and Ethiopia. Yohannes collaborated with Britain and killed Twedros through the English Army - genius political work to get your enemy kiled by a foreign army and be crowned as king of Ethiopia.
We need to kill Menelik for ethiopia to live as a nation. Demolish the monument to Menelik and rename the streets, schools and hospitals after Tewedros or some one else Ezana.

Menelik did not protect Ethiopia or Africa
He was collaborating with Italy, France and UK long before he became king.
Th Wuchale Treaty is a treaty that betrayed Ethiopia and gave it's population to slavery.
Menelik was used by Tigrayan nobles as he had better guns and larger army. In actual fact, Menelik did not want to go to war. He was preparing to give more lands to Italy. Menelik did not proceed to evacuate the Italian army in Northern Ethiopia, which is now Eritrea because he was a traitor interested only to be in power.
