(EP) Eritrea's Sad Future Under The Dictator

Post by C beyond » 09 Feb 2020, 16:43

EP: “No wonder Eritrean youth lost faith in the government and flea the country. Under this leadership, Eritrea’s economic future is blink. The man on top is a liability to our hard-fought national security and has got to go. Period!”

CONCLUSION

09 Feb 2020 - (EP) After watching President Isaias’s interview this evening (pictured) regarding our economy, one could conclude that Eritrea’s economy is going to be blick for decades to come under his leadership. What is amazing is that the president who is running the country like his kingdom for nearly 30 years blamed everyone but himself for the disaster.

The president style of deflecting questions or refused to take ownership of the hardship Eritreans was and is facing, was vivid once again in the interview. As usual, he kept answering a single question with several questions.

The crucial subject of the interview that could help to revamp the weak economy was the question of the chance of Eritrean entrepreneurs who are living abroad to invest in their country. Sadly, the hope of and wish was dashed when the president who is known for his hate to the private sector said that there is no infrastructure, electricity, water, housing and human resources for foreign or Eritrean investors to bring their wealth and expertise to the country [Really??].

The president also gave inconclusive answers and limited number of projects for the year 2020. Rehabilitating and upgrading Massawa and Assab ports for the primary purpose of the Ethiopian economy [Was it not 2019 project?], Asmara ring road – we heard it every year, Asmara – Mensura – Akordet road [2019 project as well]. The only new news to most viewers was perhaps the project to increase electricity supply to Asmara by as little as 10 MW. Massawa and Assab will each get 20 MW and 30 MW respectively to accommodate Ethiopia’s growing port service.

The most likely surprise the president said was about the compensation some of the government workers will get. He said the minimum monthly salary is 1800 Nakfa ($120 USD) and there are workers still getting less paid than the minimum wage since 2018. The compensation will begin this year and from 2021, they will be paid the full 1800 Nakfa a month [Well, if they are still living in the country].

Under this dictatorial and communist leadership, Eritrea’s economic future is sadly blinked. This unelected man is dragging us down in most of the Indexes.
Our gallant martyrs have not sacrificed and died to create this monster who is running the country as his kingdom. Atse Isaias has got to go.

Isayas Afwrki doesn't like taking advice from Eritreans thats why he has Yemane Monkey "UnknownFather-Agame Hybrid" Ghebreab as his Advisor. Ghebreab in Eritrea is used as a Last Name for People without a known father.
