Actually you misunderstood the whole issue because you see it through your old medieval tyrannical backward sunglasses. In fact Jawar is promoting modern democracy and pluralistic equality within the authoritarian, tyrannical and dictatorial chauvinist male dominated archaic church institution. By getting democratized and promoting equality for all the church does not get weaker but gets stronger and broadly acceptable socio-cultural modern institution. The old church's instincts are based on ultraconservative land owning lazy soul values because they want to get rich with out doing any real job like humans. Hence land grabbing and conflict manufacturing remains to be one of its old armaments right back in historical time during its existence in classical Syria.
