None of them should have gotten federal police protection to begin with. Why should they? The persons mentioned chose to engage in Ethiopian politics willingly. The Ethiopian people do not ask them to do their politicking.
The very concept these people need protection entails they are different people, different from the people they claim representing their interest for. That is a bad politics.
Politics is a choice. One chooses to be active in it. Another chooses to run away from it. To those who choose to be active in politics Ethiopian taxpayers should not pay for their personal protection, whatever that means.
