Re: How many Aba Gadas converted to Christianity ?
The Irreecha festival and the Abbaa Gadaa system does not belong to all people who currently claim to be Oromo but to certain tribes and groups. Both Irreecha festival and the Abbaa Gadaa system are religious practices. The Aruso and Hararghe Muslims, as well as Gurage and Kerreyu, do not share the...

Re: How many Aba Gadas converted to Christianity ?
Abaa Gadaa system is for Boran and Guji peoples. While the Abaa Gadaa is a leadership role for the Guji and Borana peoples, it does not apply uniformly to all Oromo groups (especially Gurage, Arusi and Hararghe peoples), as the Gadaa system varies regionally.

Eritrea has offered Ethiopia access to its ports but Ethiopia refuses
Eritrea has indeed offered Ethiopia access to its ports, a significant proposal since Ethiopia, a landlocked country, but Ethiopia has refused the offer from Eritrea. This means that current and former Ethiopian officials who are Oromo (Mengistu and Abiy) do not want access to the Red Sea ports, bu...

Re: Does Ethiopia have a future?
Who told you we are Eritrean? You are a crazy dog. We are proud to be Ethiopians, and our fathers sacrificed their lives defending this beautiful country and its people. But telling the truth about puppet leaders and junior soldiers does not mean we are hopeless or waiting for those who created the...

Re: Oromos failed to govern Ethiopia & should hand-over power to those who are capable
Unless you're misleading them, the reality is completely different from what you said. OPDO is on the TPLF path and worse. If Ethiopia collapses, there will be no such thing as an Oromo State, and the Wellega, Shewa, and Walo Oromos will join Amhara State, while the Hararghe and Arusi Oromos will j...

Oromos failed to govern Ethiopia & should hand-over power to those who are capable
Oromo leaders in Ethiopia completely lack the skills and knowledge necessary to govern the country, and they have failed to lead and unite their Oromo people. & should hand-over power to those who are capable from Somali and Abyssinia tribes (the Amhara and Tigray). They have failed to lead the cou...

Re: Does Ethiopia have a future?
Ethiopia's 136-year history has proven that: 1. The country's problems are fake Oromo rulers who changed their names and religions to Amharas (such as Sheikh Mohammed Ali of Walo (Ras Mikael), Elias Mohammed Ali (Kifle Yaqoub), Mengistu Hailemariam, Abiy Ahmed, and others). Because of their names a...

Re: Does Ethiopia have a future?
"Abiy Ahmed is trying to rule Ethiopia by creating opposing forces in the various ethnic groups, political parties, religious groups, community groups, and supporting each faction, sometimes even supplying them with arms." If you have something, challenge the reality, otherwise ask your OPDO junta ...

Re: Does Ethiopia have a future?
Your message shows the frustration you and others like you feel, but the undeniable truth is Abiy Ahmed and other officials from his Oromo tribe actually want to destroy their country. Therefore Ethiopia will collapse due to internal fighting, not external pressures. The Somalis, Afars and Amharas ...

Re: Does Ethiopia have a future?
Thank you, Tog Wajale aka Somalilander, for contributing to the topic under discussion. I thought Somaliland politicians support their Oromo cousins, and I am glad to see that some of them are aware of the reality in Ethiopia and do not want to waste their time with a dead OPDO regime. Ethiopia's f...

Does Ethiopia have a future?
To answer this question, we need to understand historical facts and analyze current contexts. 1. Ethiopia is a country created by European colonizers, and Ethiopia also participated in the colonization of other Africans. The country is currently witnessing civil wars and bloody fighting between var...

Re: Abiy: Access to the Red Sea (ERITREA) is an existential matter for Ethiopia
The majority of the Tigrayan people and Generals support Dr Debretsion group, not Getachew group or IRAT (The Interim Regional Administration of Tigray). There is also a third group that advocates for the Tigrayan people (unity of the Tigray people in Ethiopia and Eritrea).Given the current deterio...

Re: Abiy: Access to the Red Sea (ERITREA) is an existential matter for Ethiopia
I am very sorry that the current Ethiopian leaders are graduating generations of extremists and narrow-minded Oromo children, who are at war with themselves and also with the world. 1. Ethiopia is not asking access to Assab, but ownership: Both Ethiopia and Italy occupied Eritrea. Italy realized th...

Re: Abiy: Access to the Red Sea (ERITREA) is an existential matter for Ethiopia
Your answers are not based on logic, UN protocols and conventions, you did not answer a single question, and you are defending the Oromo plans to invade neighbouring countries and annex their lands to their region, which is clearly insane. 1. Blaming others (Egypt, Eritrea, Somalia, Djibouti), and ...

Re: Abiy: Access to the Red Sea (ERITREA) is an existential matter for Ethiopia
By reading between the lines and thinking critically, Abiy Ahmed's words go beyond what ordinary people think. 1. There is a difference between "access to Red Sea ports" and "ownership of ports and land in the Red Sea," and it is the latter definition that is intended, not the first. This implies E...

Abiy: Access to the Red Sea (ERITREA) is an existential matter for Ethiopia
Abiy Ahmed told members of the House of the Peoples Representatives today "Access to the Red Sea (Eriis an existential matter for Ethiopia." The question was about Eritrea and he meant Eritrea as well. What does he mean when he says "Access to the Red Sea is an existential matter for Ethiopia"? Do ...

Ethiopia is behind the failed assassination attempt on the Somali president
Ethiopia either knew about or was behind yesterday's failed assassination attempt on the Somali president: 1. Since 2006 (or in the past twenty years) southern Somalia has been under the control of the Ethiopian army, which is part of the African Union forces in Somalia; AMISOM (African Union Missi...

Re: Unity of Afar groups (Greater Afar State)
The Afar have no problem living with their Somali brothers in Djibouti because they enjoy many privileges and hold key positions in the government. Somalia will not give a port to Ethiopia but Eritrea will
As of now, there is no indication that Somalia is willing to give ports to Ethiopia, despite growing regional tensions and strategic interests. Therefore, Somalia will not give Ethiopia a port but will give it access to the sea, like other landlocked countries, but Eritrea will.
